What type of trader are you?
In the modern marketplace there is an abundance of technology, training programs, and supposed quick-fixes for traders to purchase. However, until you trade in such a way that is in line with your personality, skills, and beliefs you are unlikely to experience real success as a trader. Success as a trader must be earned, and you can start that process by learning how you operate best as a trader. The aim of this talk is to help you along that route by working out what type of trader you are.

How do emotions and physiology influence my investment behavior? A scientific study

At the Traders & Investors Forum, participants had the unique opportunity to meet Professor Mark Fenton-O'Creevy and his team from the Open University Business School and get acquainted with state-of-the-art learning technologies from the Pan-European EU-funded research project xDelia. In this research consortium, various Universities, scientific institutes and banks from seven European countries are cooperating to learn about the role of emotions in trading and investing. And more importantly, to come up with exciting, innovative technologies to help investors and traders learn to manage their emotions more effectively. Visitors to the conference were able to immerse themselves in a short, engaging scientific game that included non-invasive physiological measurements, where they had the opportunity to learn about their own emotional responses and how these could impact their behaviour. For more information about the xDelia project go to: www.xdelia.org
