Investment Club Workshops | 10.30am - 11.30am Investment Club Workshops The workshops will provide an opportunity to meet members of investment clubs and address specific questions or queries you have, from setting up a club and the basics of investment club accounting through to club meetings, stock selection, club software and day to day management. |

11.30am - 12.00pm Investment Performance and Benchmarks How do you measure yours? How are your club’s performance metrics linked to your club's objectives? In this talk, Mourad Kara (Mobius Investment Club) will discuss how investment clubs could measure their performance using UV, transactions etc. He will also cover how to select relevant benchmarks (e.g. tracker funds and other indices); how to undertake validated and accurate performance analysis (e.g. AERs) as well as how to avoid pitfalls. By way of illustration, he will use the Mobius club’s 17 year data-set and share our experience in computing and interpreting performance & benchmarks. The methods discussed here are equally applicable to private investors managing their own portfolios. |
