How to edit historical unit transactions
To change or edit historical unit transactions such as member subscriptions, withdrawals or penalties you can do so using the UNIT VALUATION SYSTEM link within the CLUB section as illustrated in the following screen shot:
This help section discusses how to edit individual unit transactions using the 'add/edit' button.
Please note that when working with Unit Valuations on the 'uvs' tab it is important to remember that the selected 'end date' determines the displayed unit value. One of the very powerful advantages that timetotrade offers, is the ability to see the state of your accounts at any point in time, simply by adjusting the 'end date'. This functionality also extends to the Unit Valuation System, as you have the ability to change the 'end date' and view the historical unit value for the selected date. Please note that any historical unit transactions that you have already entered into the 'uvs' tab will NOT be changed after making changes to the income/expenditure or investments tab; if you need to change the unit value used for historical unit transactions, you have the flexibility to edit the historical unit transactions and use the re-calculated unit value, as discussed in the following steps.
Step 1: Edit the UVS tab
To view or edit historical unit transaction, start by clicking on the 'add/edit' button as shown in the following screen shot:
Step 2: Select the Unit Transaction that you wish to Edit
Now select the 'edit' button associated with the historical unit transaction that you want to edit as shown in the follow screen shot:
Step 3: Edit the Unit Transaction
You can now edit the date, unit value, units and the transaction amount as illustrated below. Please note that you can not change the name or the transaction type, and you can only enter either the number of units or the unit value associated with the transaction amount. In this example we are going to assume that on the 1st of March 2007, Betty's monthly subscription was £50 and not £100 as currently displayed. To change the entry complete the steps as illustrated in the following screen shot:
If the name or the transaction type is incorrect, click on the 'trash can' icon to delete the transaction, and then create a new transaction.
When you are finished editing the historical unit transactions, click on the 'cancel' button.
