Within timetotrade you have the ability to view the state of your Portfolio Accounts on historical dates. For example if you wanted to know what investments you owned one year ago and their value on that date, you can change the Portfolio Account dates. You can also use the Portfolio Accounts dates to select the range of transactions that you would like to see displayed by setting start and end dates.
The 'start date' and 'end date' are used within the Portfolio Accounts to enable you to view the state of accounts and associated transactions within the selected time frame. Please note that the date range defines the range of transactions displayed, therefore if you have the end date set to a date in the past, transactions that occurred after the end date will not be displayed. If you click on one of the pre-defined date ranges it will set the date range so that the end date is set to the current date for varying historical time frames each time you log in. To ensure that you are always viewing your most recent transaction, including the current cash and investment values, please click on pre-defined date.
To view transactions between a defined date range, edit the 'start' and 'end dates'. To do so click on the date boxes and use the drop down calender to select the dates you wish to use; alternatively manually enter the new start and end dates by typing the dates into the date boxes:
If you have entered a transaction but it is not displayed, please check that the 'start' and 'end dates' are set to the appropriate time frame associated with the missing transaction.
Please note that when generating reports, the report will be based on the defined 'start' and 'end date', therefore if you wish to prepare monthly, quarterly or yearly reports, then please set the 'start' and 'end dates' accordingly.
